Rural Housing Scotland aims to influence national and UK government policy on relevant issues. We do so by:
- campaigning to secure action and funding to address rural housing issues;
- responding to consultations to ensure that housing policy meets rural housing needs;
- taking part in working groups and conferences to ensure rural perspective is part of housing policy;
- ongoing advocacy work with the government and key players within the sector.
Recent Policy Work
Recent advocacy in this area has included responding to the Scottish Government’s review of the Rural and Island Housing Fund; their call for ideas on the National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4); and the Housing to 2040 consultation. (See more areas in the main menu).
If you would like to discuss any policy matters in relation to our work, please email Derek Logie.
