Ecology started as, and remains, a group of like-minded people committed to building a more sustainable future. They support private individuals, businesses and community groups by offering mortgages for environmental building projects and renovations which support sustainable development.

Projects Ecology Building Society has supported include Scotland’s first community-owned Passivhaus build in Dumfries and Galloway, Open House Project co-housing in Yorkshire and Bath Street Collective Custom Build in Edinburgh.
