Social Security Scotland was created to deliver a social security system for the people of Scotland based on our values of dignity, fairness and respect.
We are an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government, and since 2018, we have introduced 13 benefits. Seven of these are completely new forms of financial support, only available in Scotland.
Social Security Scotland have offices in Dundee and Glasgow with specially trained advisers also available in every local authority area. We are committed to ensuring that people can access the benefits they are entitled to easily, and get extra support to do so if they need it at a place and time convenient to them.
